Hop Electric’s New Motorcycle Breaks Cover
The Oxo 100 will have a top speed of 100kmph and is set to launch soon
[UPDATE: Hop has launched the Oxo in India. Full details in our launch story]
Hop Electric has unveiled Oxo 100, its first electric motorcycle, in India. It is currently under a closed-loop beta testing program (called #oxosnkeakpeek) at selected dealerships and you can also pre book the e-bike at Rs 999 on Hop Electric’s official website.
The EV manufacturer has not divulged a lot of information on the Oxo 100, however, they claim the bike will boast a range of 100-150km. In addition to that, it may get a Li-ion battery pack and have a top speed of 100kmph, putting it in the high-speed electric motorcycle category. From what we know, the bike gets a hub motor (which is not so common on an electric motorcycle).
From what we can see, the Oxo 100 takes design inspiration from the Yamaha FZ V2.0. The bike flaunts a sporty design with an edgy body styling, however, the battery pack that sits where an IC engine would, looks a little odd. Interestingly, the electric motorcycle seems to get what looks like an LED light strip integrated on the sides of the tank, which does look out of the ordinary, and yet stylish, on a production bike.
The Oxo 100 is suspended on a telescopic fork up front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Stopping power is courtesy disc brakes front and rear.

Upcoming Bikes In India
Hop Electric has disclosed that it has opened the testing program to a select few dealers and consumers to get insights about the bike to help the company bring in a personalised approach to its upcoming EV.
Additionally, the brand has also completed 30,000km of testing across 20 major cities in India, including Delhi, Jaipur, and Kolkata.
The Hop Oxo 100 adds on to the expanding range of electric motorcycles in the country which could attract more consumers to shift from ICE to electric.
The Hop Oxo 100 could be priced around Rs 1.20 lakh and launch later this year. It will join the ranks of the Tork Kratos, the upcoming Oben Rorr, and the highly anticipated Ultraviolette F77. Another affordable alternative would be the Revolt RV400.
