The base model is priced at Rs 14.99 lakh while the 'S' variant retails at Rs 15.99 lakh. The top-spec 'RR' model will set you back by Rs 17.99 lakh. Interested customers can book any of the bikes for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. Weirdly enough, the brand had priced both the bikes relatively lower when it first revealed the prices back in December 2018.
These bikes are production-spec versions of the company's more hardcore FTR750 flat-tracker. Essentially, while the bikes retain the essence of a flat-tracker and feature the same teardrop-shaped fuel tank, it gets components like an LED headlight, a full-digital instrument console, turn indicators, a trellis frame and a single-mounted double-barrel exhaust.
Powering these bikes is a bored-out version of the Indian Scout’s 1133cc, V-twin motor. It’s capable of belting out 121.7PS of power and 115.2Nm of torque - 20PS and 18Nm more when compared to the standard Scout. It also features a host of electronic rider aids which comprises of ride-by-wire throttle, three rider modes (Sport, Standard and Rain), traction control, wheelie control and cornering ABS (first for a production-spec Indian), all monitored by a six-axis IMU.
The FTR 1200 uses a fully adjustable 43mm separate cartridge USD front fork and a fully adjustable piggyback monoshock handle suspension duties. Its braking setup consists of twin 320mm disc paired with four-piston Brembo calipers at the front and a single 260mm disc brake at the rear.
