Honda Motorcycle And Scooter India is gearing up to unveil its latest product, set to debut next week. Although the bikemaker hasn’t disclosed specific details, the upcoming offering may be a 160cc commuter motorcycle, strategically positioned to compete in the fiercely competitive segment.
The upcoming Honda motorcycle will likely draw inspiration from its evergreen favourite, the Unicorn, and feature the same 162cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. However, we expect a slight boost in performance than the Unicorn's current output of 12.92PS and 14Nm. In addition to performance enhancements, the bike is expected to receive a stylish makeover with sleeker bodywork, appealing to those looking for a sportier ride.
The new Honda motorcycle will likely get a telescopic fork and monoshock setup, with a disc brake at the front and the option to choose between a disc or a drum brake at the rear. And though it may sport 17-inch alloys, it is worth noting that they may be fitted with bias-ply tyres, and not radial units.

The sportier sibling, however, may command a slightly higher price, possibly up to Rs 1.12 lakh. There is even speculation that this new offering will replace the XBlade, the existing sporty 160cc model in Honda's lineup. Fortunately, enthusiasts won't have to wait too long to find out, as the official unveiling is just around the corner.
