Modified On Apr 18, 2019 02:01 PM By Praveen M. for Jawa 350

The minimum waiting period stands at five months for both the bikes

Waiting periods for both the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two range from five to nine months in major cities. Deliveries commenced on March 31. Jawa says that deliveries for the ABS variants will start after June 2019.

Jawa Motorcycles seems to be overwhelmed by the demand for its bikes. As per our sources, the waiting period for both the bikes range from five to nine months in major cities. However, this holds true only if you book either of the bikes now. In Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad, the waiting period is eight months for both the bikes. But if you live in Bengaluru or Jaipur, you’ll have to wait for six months. In Pune though, customers will have to wait for nine months!

That’s how long Royal Enfield used to take to deliver the Classic 350 at one point of time. Jawa commenced the deliveries of its two bikes on March 31. It’s also working on strengthening its dealership network and will be inaugurating its 100th showroom this week. There has been a lot of hype around Jawa, and the brand’s dealership strength further adds to the trust factor. However, the bikemaker seems to have failed to deliver its promises of timely delivery because of such prolonged waiting periods. Moreover, the Indian two-wheeler market is also growing at a rapid pace and in six to nine months, customers might as well have other alternatives to consider.

The Jawa is priced at Rs 1.64 lakh, while the Jawa Forty Two will set you back by Rs 1.55 lakh. The ABS variants of the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two are priced at Rs 1.72 lakh and Rs 1.63 lakh respectively (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The company says deliveries for the ABS variants will start after June this year. The two bikes compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 in its segment. A more modern alternative for around the same price bracket would be the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400.
