Jawa Perak Bookings Pushed To September
High demand for the Jawa and Forty Two delay plans for the bobber
Classic Legends has received phenomenal response, having forced to increase its production capacity for the two products that are already on sale. Deliveries of the two motorcycles is expected to start quite soon. The two share majority of their components, including the double-cradle chassis and the 293cc single-cylinder motor.
The Perak, however, is a different motorcycle altogether. It has a larger, bored out 334cc motor, which produces 30.4PS and 31Nm, as well as a longer swingarm with a monoshock setup. The Perak is now expected to go into production in the second half of this year and should be available to the masses by the end of the year or early-2020. Even though the Perak’s motor is BSVI-ready, we expect Classic Legends to make a few changes to make it comply with the more stringent emission regulation. While Classic Legends announced a price tag of Rs 1.89 lakh, ex-showroom, for the factory custom bobber at the brand launch, we expect the bike to be priced a tad under Rs 2 lakh when it goes on sale.
