John Abraham Adds Two Beauties To His Superbike Collection
The Bollywood star adds two inline-four SBKs to his ever increasing garage
Most of us are familiar with John Abraham as an actor. But apart from being an actor, John’s known for two more things: his physique and perhaps even more significantly, his love for motorcycles. He recently added a couple of motorcycles to his already extensive garage.
The two new motorcycles that the actor recently bought are a BMW S 1000 RR and a Honda CBR1000RR-R. As mentioned earlier, John Abraham has quite an extensive lineup of motorcycles. It includes the Aprilia RSV4 RF, Yamaha YZF R1, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, Ducati Panigale V4, MV Agusta F3 800 and a Yamaha VMAX 60th Anniversary Special Edition.
Talking about the BMW S 1000 R, it gets powered by a liquid-cooled, 999cc inline four-cylinder unit, married to a six-speed gearbox. The maximum power output is 206.6PS at 13,500rpm and peak torque is 113Nm at 11,000rpm. With so much power at disposal, it gets a comprehensive electronic package that includes a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, quickshifter, wheelie control, riding modes, launch control and multi-level traction control system.
The BMW S 1000 RR has a kerb weight of 197kg and starts at a price tag of Rs. 18.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
Whereas, the Honda CBR1000RR-R’s motor is a liquid-cooled, 998cc inline four-cylinder unit that’s mated to a six-speed gearbox with a quickshifter as standard. The CBR1000RR-R makes 217.4PS of power at 14,500rpm and 113Nm of torque at 12,500rpm. This makes it the most powerful litre-class superbike on sale in India currently and also one of the most expensive bikes on sale at Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Honda CBR1000RR-R too packs a list of electronic goodies. Some of the notable features are a multi-level traction control, three riding modes, six-axis IMU, engine braking and wheelie control, quickshifter and launch control as standard.
