The bike looks like it's based on the Kawasaki Ninja 300

It features a 3kW BLDC hub motor and a 3.44kW lithium-ion battery. The KM 3000 offers a claimed range of 85km and a top speed of 80kmph. Kabira’s first all-electric motorcycle also gets two ride modes. Features include LED lights, a digital instrument cluster, anti-theft system and twin front disc brakes.

Electric two-wheeler manufacturer Kabira Mobility has introduced its first electric bike for the Indian EV space, the KM 3000. Though it looks like it’s based on the Kawasaki Ninja 300, its price, at 1,13 lakh (ex-showroom), is almost one-third the price of the Japanese supersport. What you get for that amount is a supersport with a decent range and some segment-first features.

For starters, the KM 3000 draws power from a 3kW BLDC hub motor and a 3.44kW lithium ion battery that deliver a claimed range of 85km per charge and a top speed of 80km. Charge times range between 4-6 hours. You even have to option to toggle between two power modes with the help of the left-hand-side switchgear.

On the feature front, the KM 3000 gets a funky split LED headlight, LED turn indicators, a digital instrument cluster, an anti-theft alarm system and a dedicated smartphone app.

Its hardware includes a telescopic fork and a monoshock, twin disc brakes up front and a single disc at the rear. Its 17-inch wheels come wrapped in 110/70 section tyre at the front and a chunky 140-section rear tyre. The ergos of the bike is quite sporty with rear-set footpegs and clip-on handlebars.

The Kabira KM 3000 is expected to be launched in India by March 2020. When launched, it will take on the likes of the Revolt RV400 and the Ultraviolette F77
