Kawasaki Ninja 400 Updated For 2021
The revisions are limited to the cosmetic front
Kawasaki has taken the wraps off the updated 2021 Ninja 400 in China and instead of a major overhaul, it has introduced two colours schemes: Twilight Blue and Deep Grey. This is similar to what Kawasaki India did with the BS6 Ninja 300 (full details in our launch story).
The new paint jobs may not feature the signature Ninja green colour, but they surely make the Ninja 400 look poised. Between the two, we like the Deep Grey option more thanks to the orange accents and overall stealthy appearance. In addition to these new colours, the Ninja 400 is also available in the previously offered KRT and Spark Black options.
2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Launched With A Shocking Price Tag Kawasaki Ninja 400: Road Test ReviewApart from the colours, no other changes have been made to the motorcycle. The 2021 Ninja 400 is still powered by a 399cc twin-cylinder motor that makes 46PS and 37.2Nm. Other components that have been retained include a 41mm telescopic fork, a monoshock, a 310mm front disc, and a 220mm rear disc.
On the feature front, the Ninja 400 continues to be equipped with a semi-digital instrument cluster, coupled with an LED headlamp and tail light.
Sadly, there’s no news on whether Kawasaki India will launch the BS6 Ninja 400 here. Last time around, it retailed at a massive Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the price of the updated Ninja 400 is even higher in China, at about 50,000 Yuan (Rs 5.70 lakh).
