Kawasaki W175 Retro Bike Launch Tomorrow
The W175 will be Kawasaki’s most affordable bike, but will still be expensive for what it will offer
Kawasaki is all set to launch the W175 retro bike tomorrow. It will be the smallest and the most affordable Kawasaki bike in the country, likely to be priced at around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). If you’re wondering how we arrived at that number, take a look at our pricing analysis.
The brochure details of the Kawasaki W175 were leaked recently, revealing crucial differences between the India-spec model and the one sold in Indonesia. Kawasaki also teased the motorcycle, and you can read all about it here.
The W175 will also be Kawasaki’s only single-cylinder motorcycle in India. Armed with a 177cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, it churns out a rather measly 13PS and 13.2Nm, as per the leaked specs. With these numbers, if Kawasaki prices the bike as per our guesstimate, then it’ll be more of a lifestyle motorcycle that relies on nostalgia rather than offering good value for money.
