Kawasaki Z H2 and Z H2 SE Launched In India
The Kawasaki Ninja H2-derived supercharged streetfighter is priced from Rs 21.90 lakh

Gets a full suite of IMU-based electronics.Not even a week into the new year, Kawasaki has already launched its first product for 2021-- the 2021 Z H2 and Z H2 SE. The Japanese supercharged streetfighter is priced at Rs 21.90 lakh while the SE variant carries a sticker price of Rs 25.90 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Bookings have commenced across the country via the dealerships and the website.
The Z H2 is the flagship model of Kawasaki’s streetfighter lineup. It is powered by the same supercharged 998cc liquid-cooled in-line four-cylinder motor seen on the Ninja H2 and Ninja H2 SX. However, the engine is tuned differently to suit the streetfighter’s character and belts out 200PS at 11,000rpm and 137Nm at 8,500rpm.
The bike gets a trellis frame suspended on fully adjustable Showa Big Piston Separate Function Fork offering 120mm of travel and an adjustable Showa monoshock offering 134mm travel. Braking duties are handled by Brembo M4.32 calipers clamped onto twin 320mm discs at the front and a 260mm disc at the rear. The Z H2 SE, on the other hand, gets Kawasaki’s semi-active electronic suspension and Brembo Stylema monobloc callipers.
Kawasaki has equipped the Z H2 with a 4.3-inch TFT screen compatible with the brand’s Rideology app. Electronic nannies on the bike include a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, cornering ABS, launch control, and electronic cruise control.
The streetfighter follows the Japanese brand’s Sugomi design philosophy like we have seen on other models from the Z lineup. The front is dominated by the new LED headlamp, similar to the design seen on the Z650 and Z900. The headlamp unit is flanked by the asymmetric ram air intake on the left side to feed air to the supercharger.
The Z H2 is the only motorcycle in the segment to use a supercharger and has no direct rival. However, Ducati is likely to bring the Streetfighter V4 to our shores very soon and the Italian streetfighter is close to the Z H2 in terms of performance. So, if 200PS+ streetfighters are your thing, 2021 seems to be a good year to buy yourself one.
