Modified On Nov 29, 2019 04:31 PM By Alpesh Rajpurohit

Kinetic Green has partnered with Autoline Industries to develop e-bikes in India

The electric bicycle will be manufactured at Autoline’s Pune manufacturing plant. The E-Speed offers a claimed range of 30km and a top speed of 25kmph.  Kinetic Green and Autoline Industries could launch a range of e-bikes depending on the demand.

Kinetic Green has launched a new electric bicycle called the E-Speed in India at Rs 24,999. The e-bike will be manufactured at Autoline’s Pune manufacturing plant and will be sold via Kinetic Green’s 150 touchpoints across the country. The electric bike will go on sale from next month and both the companies are planning to launch a couple of more e-bikes in the future if there is enough demand. Whether the e-bikes can be booked online via their websites or their dealerships is yet unconfirmed. For now, both companies planning to launch one more electric cycle apart from the E-Speed.

The E-Speed is powered by a 250W motor which helps it to achieve a top speed of 25kmph. It gets an 11Ah lithium-ion battery which is detachable and can be fully charged in three hours (claimed). The company claims that the e-bike will offer a range of 30km on a single charge. While the standard variant gets 24-inch wheels, the top-spec variant gets 26-inch wheels. However, the company hasn’t revealed what’s different between both the variants, so stay tuned to BikeDekho for more updates.

Kinetic Green already has a couple of electric vehicles in its portfolio, but they are mostly three-wheelers. With the addition of these new electric cycles, the manufacturer will venture into the lucrative electric two-wheeler space, which has witnessed an influx of products over the last couple of years. Just a couple of months ago, we saw Pune-based Polarity launching not one, but six electric bikes! Even Hero Electric, which is known for making electric scooters, entered this space with a new e-bike called the EHX20.
