Harley-Davidson has launched its most affordable bike, the X440, and the prices start at Rs 2,29,000.

The clearest images of  Harley-Davidson's entry-level roadster, the X440, have been revealed. The bike has been seen on public roads for the first time and is all set to be launched on July 3, 2023.

The X440 will be the first entry-level roadster developed by the Milwaukee-based bike maker in partnership with Hero for the Indian market. The design cues are borrowed from its elder sibling, the XR1200R, and the bike, in its black paint with orange highlights, surely looks premium and appealing.

The Harley-Davidson X440, as the name suggests, will be powered by a 440cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine with an oil cooler, and is expected to make around 38PS and 30Nm. The bike's underpinnings include an inverted USD fork and twin preload-adjustable shock absorbers. Harley seems to have equipped the bike with what’s likely a 320mm disc – with a Bybre axial caliper – up front and a disc in the rear, with dual-channel ABS likely as standard. In terms of features, it gets all-LED lighting and also comes with a TFT instrument console and a multi-function switch cube.

Now, coming to the price; when launched, the Harley-Davidson X440 could carry a price tag of Rs 2.70 lakh and will directly rival the upcoming Triumph Bajaj Roadster and the Royal Enfield Hunter 450.
