MV Agusta Entered in Tourer Segment with Turismo Veloce

One of the most attractive motorcycle manufacturers of Italy, MV Agusta has finally entered the tourer segment with its new motorcycle Turismo Veloce. As per the name, this new bike is a high performance one with a top speed of 240kmph. Following its tradition, this bike looks as great as its other siblings. Assembled on a ALS steel tubular trellis frame, the bike comes covered with a beautiful fairing made by thermostatic.

The bike comes in two variants- MV Agusta Turismo veloce 800 and Lusso 800. The Lusso 800 variant comes with boot cases at the rear. Overall dimensions of the bike are 2080mm X 900mm X 870mm (length X width X saddle-height). Wheelbase of the bike is 1420mm and minimum ground clearance is 140mm. Bike's dry weight is 194kg, which is 13kg lesser than the Lasso 800 variant.

The motorcycle has been powered by a 798cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled, three cylinder engine, which is mated with a six speed gear box. The engine churns out a maximum power output of 125hp @11,600rpm and a peak torque of 84Nm @8,600rpm.

Sachs upside down, semi-active, telescopic hydraulic forks have been used at the front and progressive Sachs semi-active, single-shock absorber with hydraulic spring preload adjustment works with a single sided aluminium swing-arm at the rear. Both the front and rear suspension systems assisted by MV Agusta chassis stability control.

To stop the high speed bike, front wheel comes equipped with 320mm double floating discs with 4 piston Brembo radial calipers, while a 220mm steel disk working at the rear wheel using 2 piston Brembo caliper.

Its 17inch wheels have been made by aluminium alloy. Front wheel is 3.5inch wide covered with a 120/70-ZR 17 M/C (58 W) tyre and rear wheel is 5.5inch wide, which is covered with a 190/55-ZR 17 M/C (75 W) tyre.

The standard equipment includes an immobiliser, heated handle grips, Bluetooth connection and integrated GPS. All these great features make it a perfect tourer.
