New Hero XPulse 200 4V Spotted Testing For The First Time
The tech improvements should make the XPulse a better all-rounder
As capable as the Hero XPulse 200 is off road and in the city, its biggest drawback remains its highway performance. While we have seen improvements in performance and refinement on the BS6 model, the XPulse still cannot sustain respectable highway speeds. To counter that problem, Hero has been working on a 4-valve head setup for the adventure bike and the new version has just been spotted.
The advantage of a four-valve setup over a two-valve one would not only be restricted to its highway proficiency. One can also expect more power, hopefully across the rev range, and better breathing, which would improve fuel efficiency. In addition, the engine casing is now silver.

These aside, the bike looks mostly unchanged, primarily because it was already pretty well sorted in every other way. It’ll continue to feature 21-/18-inch (F/R) spoke wheels, LED illumination, a gaited telescopic fork, single-channel ABS, and a digital LCD display replete with Bluetooth connectivity.
Thanks to these updates, there could be a slight hike in the XPulse’s price. It currently retails at Rs 1.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Expect this to go up to Rs 1.30 lakh for the new XPulse 200 4V. Our sources suggest the launch could take place during the festive period, near Diwali.
