New Hero Xtreme 200S 4V Spied On In Sporty Yellow Colour
It’s sportier, funkier and now more sophisticated than before
Hero has been updating products across the board and it appears that the next in line is the Xtreme 200S. It’s the third 200cc motorcycle in its premium lineup and these spy shots confirm that it will finally get the 4-valve technology like the Xpulse 200 twins. The updated motorcycle also gets a few critical changes in hardware and ergonomics besides a new sporty yellow colour.
The biggest change in this update is of course the engine of the Xtreme 200S receiving 4-valve technology. Currently the Xtreme 200S makes 18PS and 16.45Nm, and with a 4-valve cylinder head the power and torque will likely go up to 19.1PS and 17.35Nm, just like it did with the Xpulse 200s. In addition, it will get a larger oil-cooler and will be OBD-2 compliant as well.
Among other visible updates, it appears that Hero has changed the braking hardware on the Xtreme 200 4V and is now using a petal disc setup instead of the conventional format on the current 2V model. Another significant change appears to be in the ergonomics department. Unlike the Xtreme 200S 2V which gets a one piece handlebar, the new one gets raised clip-ons.
Currently the Xtreme 200S is available in only three colours - white, black and red, which are nice but now feel dated. The addition of this sporty yellow colour with black accents should give the Xtreme 200 4V a fresh breath of air.
With all updates accounted for, it’s likely that the Xtreme 200S 4V will cost around Rs 1.4 lakh. Currently it’s priced at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Furthermore, considering the updated model was seen at a dealership we could have an official launch very soon! Bajaj F250 and Suzuki Gixxer SF.
