The upcoming motorcycle could be based on the Unicorn

Honda has teased their next upcoming motorcycle that is about to be launched in the next couple of weeks.
Judging by the teaser, the upcoming two-wheeler could be a sporty commuter, probably based on the Unicorn that gets a 162cc, single-cylinder engine producing 13.4PS and 14.58Nm. That said, the engine could get a different tune. We think it’ll get a muscular fuel tank with tank extensions, as hinted on the teaser. It could get a split-seat setup, and the teaser video shows a chromed out exhaust heat shield, and a pillion footrest that’s integrated with the saree guard.
The taillight has a striking design that looks like a split-setup from the top but is actually connected in a V shaped design when looked at full-view. The taillight unit is LED, and the headlight is expected to be LED too. That said, the indicators are bulbs. Underpinnings-wise, it is expected to get a telescopic fork and monoshock setup.
Currently Honda Unicorn is priced at Rs 1.09 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). As such, we expect the upcoming motorcycle to fetch a small premium over that and be priced around the Rs 1.12 lakh mark. When launched, the upcoming motorcycle from Honda is expected to rival the likes of Bajaj Pulsar 150, TVS Apache RTR 160 and the Yamaha FZ-FI.
