New Royal Enfield Classic 350 S vs Classic 350 Standard: Differences Explained
The new Classic 350 S is the most affordable Classic 350 variant. So what does it miss out on compared to the standard Classic 350?
Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 S at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Like the recently launched Bullet 350, it is the most affordable bike in Royal Enfield’s Classic range and is around Rs 8,000 more affordable than the standard Classic 350. So what do you get, or rather do not get, in the new Classic 350 S?

No shiny bits:
The biggest difference between the Classic 350 and Classic 350 S is the lack of gleaming parts. The shiny bits have been given a miss. Instead the Classic 350 S has blacked-out spoke wheels, engine and turn indicators. Parts like the exhaust, rear shock absorbers, seat springs and side stand still get the chrome-like finish. Overall, we think the Classic 350 S has a more mature look now.
Gets only two colours:
While the standard Classic 350 comes in 5 colours: Ash, Silver, Black, Lagoon and Classic Chestnut; the more affordable Classic 350 is available in just two colours. They are Pure Black and Mercury Silver. Also, the fuel tank is devoid of fancy graphics and makes do with a simple Royal Enfield logo.

No trim:
The standard Classic 350 gets a chrome headlamp bezel and round chrome mirrors. The Classic 350 S gets none of those and instead has black round mirrors.

Has a single-channel ABS setup:
Unlike the standard Classic 350 which gets a rear disc brake and dual-channel ABS, the Classic 350 S gets a rear drum brake and single-channel ABS.
Apart from all these changes, the Classic 350 S gets the same 346cc single-cylinder motor which powers the rest of the Classic 350 models. A more affordable Classic 350 S should expand the range’s customer base and also attract customers looking for a more affordable Bullet 350.
