Next-gen KTM RC 390 Spied Abroad!
A redesigned front-end along with a lot of other changes have been spotted about the upcoming bike
KTM has launched the 2024 390 Duke and 250 Duke at really competitive prices.
The anticipation has been building around the launch of the next-gen KTM 390 Duke for quite some time now. And now, its faired sibling, the 2025 RC 390, has now been spotted abroad, offering a glimpse into what's in store.
The spy shots reveal a striking and completely redesigned Moto3-inspired fairing with a more aerodynamically efficient venting system. Adding a touch of novelty to the motorcycle is the bubble visor, while the rear-view mirror stalks appear to enhance its aerodynamic functionality. The front features fairing-integrated LED projector headlights and indicators, along with a fanged fairing design beneath the headlight, reminiscent of the first-gen RCs. The test mule also comes equipped with a taillight integrated with the indicators. Additionally, the instrument console appears to be revamped.
Under the surface, the upcoming RC 390 sports a bolt-on aluminium subframe, a billet aluminium triple clamp, and a dual-fan curved radiator similar to the one found on the 390 Adventure. To enhance stability, the swingarm has been redesigned and lengthened. Familiar elements from the current-gen RC 390, such as the rear-set footpegs, handlebar setup, and ergonomics, seem to make a return.
Performance-wise, the 2025 KTM RC 390 is expected to be powered by a larger-capacity liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor, likely around 399cc, delivering more bottom-end grunt than its predecessor. Adjustable suspension at both ends is also anticipated, a feature that enthusiasts are sure to welcome if it makes its way to the Indian model.
A closer look at the spy shots reveals a rather short front fender; however, it's reasonable to assume that the production model will likely feature a longer version. As for the wheels and brake setup, they seem to resemble the ones on the current-gen RC 390, and the test mule appears to be running on Pirelli tires.
We expect the highly anticipated next-gen KTM RC 390 to be launched around mid-2025. It may come with a premium price of approximately Rs 30,000 over the current RC 390's Rs 3,18,173 (ex-showroom) price tag.
