Rajasthan’s EV Policy & Benefits Explained

Rajasthan's new EV grant amount goes as high as Rs 10,000

The subsidy benefits are exclusive to vehicles purchased in Rajasthan. The grant amount ranges from Rs 5,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the battery capacity of the vehicle.  The scheme also lets go of State GST, which is 2.5% of the overall cost of an automobile.

With the EV mobility gaining momentum, various states across India have been springing up with their own policies for electric two-wheelers. The latest one to do so is Rajasthan. The state has announced a grant of up to Rs 10,000 on EVs. Here’s the subsidy amount as per the battery capacity.

Battery Capacity For Electric Two-wheelers

Rs 5,000

Less than 2kWh

Rs 7,000

2 to 4kWh

Rs 9,000

4 to 5kWh

Rs 10,000

More than 5kWh

The amount is a lump sum and varies as per the battery capacity with the maximum being Rs 10,000 for over 5kWh. Moreover, only the vehicles registered in Rajasthan can avail of the benefits. In addition, the Rajasthan government has also ensured to reimburse the GST amount on the EVs purchased, which is 2.5% here.

Not to mention, these incentives are irrespective of the Fame 2 benefits. Apart from Rajasthan, even the Maharashtra government is offering huge subsidies on EVs
