Before we get to take Revolt’s first all-electric motorcycle, the RV 400, out for a spin, here’s a detailed look at the motorcycle via an image gallery

Revolt Motors has finally unveiled its maiden electric bike, the RV 400. In fact, when the deliveries begin next month, it will become the first electric motorcycle to go on sale in India. There’s no word on the price yet, but we expect it to cost around Rs 1 lakh (on-road). At this price, the RV 400 would be one heck of a deal considering that it is loaded with features. Here’s a closer look at the electric motorcycle in detailed images.

In terms of design, Revolt has done a tremendous job. In a sea of conventional petrol-powered motorcycles, the RV 400 will surely stand out, especially the vibrant red and black colour options.

It gets LED lights not only at the front, but at the back too.

The switchgear has a clean layout and looks quite premium.

What’s 1,2,3? Well, these numbers indicate the three riding modes that are available on the RV 400 -- Eco, City and Sport.

It gets a fully digital instrument cluster, which displays useful rider information such as battery percentage, time, odometer and range.

It is probably the first electric motorcycle in India to get remote start. No, it’s not electric start, if that’s what you’re thinking. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity the rider can turn on the RV 400 through a smartphone app! Another way to start the bike is to press that little ‘power’ button.

Speaking of the smartphone app, it is one of the most comprehensive apps we’ve ever seen. From ordering a new battery for your motorcycle to changing the exhaust note, this app has got you covered on almost all fronts.

Revolt hasn’t revealed the exact specifications of the RV 400 yet, but the company did reveal some interesting details. For starters, it features swappable batteries, which you can either charge at home or swap your drained battery for a fresh one at dedicated charging stations.

The RV 400 comes with an inbuilt charging port which can be connected to a 15A socket for charging. Using which, it can be charged fully in four hours.

The bike maker has revealed that the RV 400 has an ARAI-certified range of 156km. The company added that the top speed has been capped at 85kmph.

The electric motorcycle features an inverted fork up front, and disc brakes at both ends.

At the rear, it gets a monoshock and an aluminium swingarm, which looks quite premium.

Interested customers can pre-book the motorcycle from 25 June onwards, through the company's website or on Amazon India for a token amount of Rs 1,000.

How much will it cost? Well, the company hasn’t revealed the price yet, but we expect it to cost around Rs 1 lakh (on-road).
