Royal Enfield 650 Twins Get More Modern
The bikes also get a new LED headlight, a USB charger and new colours
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 with alloy wheels have finally been unveiled abroad. The alloy wheels come with tubeless tyres, which should mean tasks like fixing a puncture or replacing the tyres should now be simpler. Owners have been asking for this ever since the motorcycles were introduced and it’s finally here. That said, the alloy design looks rather simple, unlike the one on the more premium Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.
Not only that, but the 650 twins have also received a new LED headlamp (which appears to be the same as the one on the Super Meteor 650), a USB charger (on the left switchgear), and rotary-style switchgear that’s borrowed from the newer Royal Enfield bikes like the Meteor 350, Classic 350 and the Hunter 350.

Both bikes have two new colour options too: Slipstream Blue and Apex Grey for the Continental GT 650 and Black Ray and Barcelona Blue for the Interceptor 650. The exhaust pipes, powertrain, and underpinnings are all finished in black. Prices for the standard Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 start from GBP 6,039 and from GBP 6,239 for the Continental GT 650. The alloy wheel-trims, meanwhile, have been priced at GBP 6,599 (Interceptor 650) and GBP 6,799 (Continental GT 650) in the UK market.
We expect the alloy wheel trims of the bikes to be launched in India sooner rather than later given that they’re both key models for the Chennai-based marque. Currently, only the blacked-out versions of the two bikes have the cast alloy rims. The alloys could hence, be offered as an accessory for the other older colour variants.
