Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Launch In Mid-July
The Guerrilla 450 first ride to happen between July 14 - 17, 2024, and could be launched around the same time. There’s a new spy shot too!
[UPDATE: Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been launched in India at Rs 2,39,000 (ex-showroom)]
The Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is all set to be launched mid-July 2024. After the brand recently trademarked the model name, for what was earlier believed to be the Royal Enfield Hunter 450, we now have received an invite for the first ride event which will be held from July 14 to 17, 2024. Knowing how Royal Enfield launches new bikes, the launch is most likely to happen just before the first ride.
This news is complemented by a new spy shot of the Guerrilla 450, which strengthens our earlier speculations about its specs and features. The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450-based roadster will have some unique bits to suit its character. Starting with the 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends, with road-biased tubeless block-pattern tyres. The headlight is mounted directly on the fork triple clamp unlike on the Himalayan. The circular TFT display remains the same and so does the switchgear.
The front suspension is a conventional telescopic fork with gaiters and could have a slightly sharper rake. The front mudguard is longer as well. The fuel tank is visibly much smaller, and resembles the silhouette of the one on the Hunter 350. The seat is a single-piece unit with a deeper contour for the rider. The bike gets a monoshock at the rear, and the suspension at both ends are likely to offer lesser travel compared to the Himalayan 450.1

The swingarm remains similar to the one on the Himalayan 450, and so should the engine. The Sherpa 450 engine is a 452cc, liquid-cooled single that akes 40PS at 8000rpm and 40Nm at 5500rpm (on the Himalayan 450). Though, we are yet to see if Royal Enfield changes the tuning with different mapping and/or gearing to suit Guerrilla 450’s road-biased character.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 costs between Rs 2.85 lakh to Rs 2.93 (ex-showroom, Delhi) so the Guerrilla 450’s price should be somewhere around Rs 2.6 lakh mark. At the price, it will compete with the likes of Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, and the Harley-Davidson X440.
