Gets features which make it more off-road focused than the current Himalayan 450!

Quick Highlights:

Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Spied Testing

Features a flat seat, a different ups-swept exhaust and knuckle guards

May be launched at a premium sometime early next year

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally has been spotted testing and from the looks of it, it will be an even more off-road-focused version of the current HImalayan 450.

The more off-road focused bits that were spied include a more up-swept exhaust which is also thicker to the one compared to the outgoing model. Other changes we can see at the rear include, a new tail cowl and a single-piece flat seat which resembles the one we see on motocross bikes, unlike the current Himalayan which gets a split-seat setup. Another addition is the recently launched tubeless cross-spoked wheels. Even though it is not visible in the pictures, the Himalayan 450 Rally also features knuckle guards which will protect your brake and clutch levers when you go offroad.

We also expect the Himalayan 450 Rally to get a raised handlebar and adjustable suspension to suit the offroading needs.

On the engine front, the bike will most likely be the same. It will be powered by the Sherpa 450 engine, which is a 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 40PS at 8,000rpm and 40Nm at 5,500rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. The suspension includes a 43mm inverted fork and a monoshock both of which have a wheel travel of 200mm. The brakes consist of a 320mm disc at the front and a 270mm disc at the rear. It has 21-inch and 17-inch wire-spoke wheels at the front and rear respectively.

In terms of features, it gets a round 4-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, Google maps navigation, switchable ABS, two riding modes: Performance and Eco and a host of other electronics.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally will be offered at a premium over the current Himalayan 450 and will launch in India sometime in the next year.
