Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 To Get More Accessories
The new accessories will be available in RE dealerships soon
Royal Enfield is all set to add two new accessories to the Interceptor accessory list. According to dealer sources, the company is working on getting a pair of fog lamps and alloy wheels on the 29-part official accessory list.
Given the Interceptor’s touring ambitions, a pair of auxiliary lamps would make sense. Going by the current standards, we expect the fog lamps to get LED lighting as it is more reliable, needs less current and emits a brighter light than a conventional halogen-powered fog lamp. These optional fog lamps could make way to other Royal Enfield bikes official accessory lists as well. One of our main grievances with the 650 twins is its poor headlights that offer poor illumination. The optional auxiliary lights could help in this regard and since it will be an official accessory, warranty wouldn't be affected as well.

While Royal Enfield does offer alloy wheels on the Thunderbird X and Classic range, these alloy wheels cannot be carried over as they are of a different size to the Interceptor. A new set of alloy wheels would allow Royal Enfield to run tubeless tyres on the Interceptor 650, thus improving safety and also making puncture fixes easier.
At Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Royal Enfield Interceptor is the most affordable multi-cylinder motorcycle you can buy in India today. Its 650cc air-cooled parallel twin motor makes 47.65 PS and 52Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The Interceptor is quite popular and at present commands a waiting period of four to six months.
