Royal Enfield Scram 411 India Launch Tomorrow

Modified On Mar 14, 2022 08:53 AM By Manaal Mahatme for Royal Enfield Scram 411

The lighter and more accessible alternative to Himalayan has already started arriving at dealerships

[UPDATE: The Royal Enfield Scram 411 has been launched in India. For pricing, specs and other details, head to our launch report.]

Months of anticipation and speculations will cease tomorrow as Royal Enfield gears up to debut its new Scram 411. The bike will be positioned as an affordable, and more everyday-usable alternative to the popular Himalayan.

The spy shots and leaked brochure have already revealed quite a lot about the upcoming motorcycle. The absence of the headlight brace, windscreen, tail rack and the use of a 19-inch wheel at the front (instead of the 21-inch unit on the Himalayan) should not only make the new RE Scram lighter than the Himalayan but also should make it more engaging.

Tork Kratos R First Ride Review

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is likely to use the same long-stroke 411cc air-cooled engine from the Himalayan. It is unlikely that RE would tinker with this engine’s performance figures, which stand at 24.3PS and 32Nm. Even the state of tune is likely to remain the same, given the healthy bottom-end of the engine would be useful not just within the city, but even off the beaten path.

Since the launch of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan, the pricing of the ADV has gone up by over Rs 24,000, and now the bike’s price starts at Rs 2.14 lakh. RE is likely to price the Scram 411 around Rs 2 lakh, which is closer to the Yezdi Scrambler, and more affordable than the Yezdi Adventure which costs Rs 2.10 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). And if RE nails the price, and you plan one having the Scram in our garage, stay tuned for our first ride review that drops tomorrow at 2:30pm.
