The riding gear is available online and at select Royal Enfield stores in metro cities

The riding culture in India has witnessed a tremendous change over the past decade. One brand that has played a vital role in this transformation with its motorcycles and riding events is Royal Enfield. Apart from hosting various riding events, Royal Enfield was also the first Indian two-wheeler brand to introduce its own line of riding gear and apparel in the country. Over the years, Royal Enfield has not only improved the quality of its range of riding gear, but has also introduced a variety of options that cater to different needs and budgets.

Royal Enfield has now taken a step forward by launching a new range of riding gear and apparel for women. This makes RE the only Indian two-wheeler brand to offer riding gear and apparel exclusively for women. The new range is priced between Rs 700 and Rs 14,000 and consists of  riding jackets, trousers, gloves and helmets.

Royal Enfield’s range of new riding gear couldn’t have come at a better time as more women embrace the riding culture each year. While there are tons of options for men when it comes to riding gear, that isn’t the case for women. Most women riders have to make do with men’s riding gear which don’t offer a proper fit, which in turn hampers safety.  Puneet Sood, Head – Apparel Business, Royal Enfield further added that one of the major criteria for the new riding gear range were comfort and ruggedness. The development time of the project was close to 18 months and feedback from female riders were taken to ensure a good fit.

Given the fact that most parts of the country face severe summers, a mesh riding jacket makes perfect sense for our conditions and the Breeze riding jacket fits the bill with CE level 1 protection armour for the shoulders and elbows. The most premium riding jacket on offer is the Nubra, an all-weather jacket that retails for Rs 14,000. We also liked the full-face helmet which has a shell size specifically for women riders. The helmet is DOT, ISI and ECE certified and offers great value as it’s priced under Rs 4,000. Customers also have the option of buying half-face helmets and stylish leather jackets.
