Simple Dot One Launch Soon: Simple One Electric Scooter's More Affordable Version
The new upcoming affordable electric scooter will get an IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) claimed 160km range
A new electric scooter is set to be launched by Simple Energy on December 15. Based on the Simple One, the upcoming electric scooter is expected to be priced under Rs 1 lakh, which will pit it directly against the Ola S1 X. The scooter will get a 3.7kWh capacity battery with an IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) claimed range of 160km.
With not much details shared by the manufacturer yet, they have said that the upcoming scooter will get an underseat storage of more than 30 litres, which will be really impressive considering the Simple One gets a 30-litre underseat storage.
The Simple Dot One is built on the One’s platform and as such, will get the One’s 7-inch TFT touchscreen instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity.

Simple has suggested that the 'Dot One' could be considered by existing customers who are looking for an alternative to the 'Simple One.' So, will potential buyers be inclined towards a model perceived as a downgraded version of the Simple One? Only time will tell. The scooter has faced a lot of delays regarding deliveries and we have reached out to Simple Energy for more information. Despite a recent relaunch, only a limited number of Simple One units have made their way to customers. The challenge lies in how Simple plans to manage the production of its more budget-friendly scooter, especially considering the deliveries of the existing Simple One scooters is yet to gain momentum.
