Squids Beware! Delhi Traffic Police Might Make Your Road Accident Video Go Viral

Modified On Aug 4, 2022 03:45 AM By Aamir Momin for Yamaha R15 V4

The cops made an example of a Yamaha R15 rider hitting the deck and urged riders to follow the rules

On Wednesday, August 3, the Delhi Traffic Police tweeted a video of a bike accident and urged people to stay safe on the road and to follow safety rules. The tweet also read, “Roads won’t comply with you and if you do similar stunts, you are going to need a tailor.”

The video shows a young man riding a Yamaha R15 in a really rash and unruly manner on the road. After overtaking an auto rickshaw, the rider loses balance and crashes even hitting the exhaust canister of the bike ahead of him. He then manages to stop sliding, however, as the rider was not fully geared up, he must have suffered injuries due to the accident.

The Delhi Traffic Police took a rather humorous approach while approaching this safety issue on the capital’s roads by making use of memes and comical background music. They also inform riders that such stunts can result in injuries and even loss of life by using hashtags like “speed kills”.

Rash riding not only endangers the rider but also the lives of the pedestrians, as well as other vehicle users. Educating riders about road safety and the necessity of not riding rashly is of primary importance, and the Delhi Traffic Police seems to be doing a good job at it with contemporary ways of connecting to the youth.

But there are other things in the video which should also be mentioned here. In the short 36-second clip, people are seen walking not on the sidewalk but the road, a rider cuts across abruptly and on the wrong way to access an alley, and for some reason there is a cycle tyre in the middle of the road.

We advise our readers to always follow road rules, be alert on the move and before setting out for a ride on a two-wheeler, wear a helmet and other appropriate riding gear.
