Suzuki Gixxer Range Prices Hiked...Again
This is the second price hike within a fortnight
The year 2021 started with all two-wheeler manufacturers hiking prices across their product lineup. The latest to join the bandwagon was Suzuki, revising their prices barely a fortnight ago. Now, the Japanese multinational has bumped up prices for its motorcycle range yet again. The surge was as low as Rs 186 for most bikes, except for the Gixxer SF that witnessed an increase of Rs 1,216. But this time, the prices have gone up by over Rs 2,000!

The Suzuki Gixxer locks horns with the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, Yamaha FZ version 3.0, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and the Hero Xtreme 160R. The 160cc segment is the most competitive, and now, the Gixxer is the priciest amongst its rivals.
The Gixxer SF 250 and Gixxer 250 are priced at par with the competition. The Intruder is almost Rs 22,000 more expensive than the Bajaj Avenger 160 Street, which generates a tad more power and torque than the Suzuki.
There’s no official word on the reason for the price hike. However, if you think it could be attributed to the Union Budget 2021, you might want to check our story to know the key updates for the two-wheeler industry.
