Suzuki has expanded its product lineup by adding the Gixxer SF 250 to its range. The quarter-litre Gixxer is priced at Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and is an all-new model from the Japanese bike manufacturer. We will be riding the new Gixxer SF 250 at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) tomorrow, so stay tuned for our detailed first-ride report! Until then, here’s an in-depth look at the Gixxer SF 250 in images.
With the new Gixxer SF 250, Suzuki has brought a new design language into the equation. With aggressive looks, the Japanese bike maker has raised the stakes compared to its rivals when it comes to the design department.
In terms of features, it gets LED headlamp & tail lamp and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The Gixxer SF 250 comes equipped with raised clip-on handlebars for a sporty yet relaxed riding position.
The tank holds 12 litres of fuel and Suzuki claims that the Gixxer SF 250 has a range of 38.6kmpl, which should be enough for a long Sunday ride.
For a more aggressive riding posture, the Gixxer SF 250 gets split seats.
While most of bike makers use black paint for the engine cover, Suzuki has given the Gixer SF 250 a bronze casing! We must say it looks quite premium and goes well with the grey paint job of the bike on display.
Speaking of the engine, it’s a brand-new unit from the Suzuki. The 250cc single-cylinder motor with a unique oil-cooling system churns out 26.5PS of power and 22.6Nm of torque. These figures are on par with the Honda CBR250R, which is Rs 24,000 more expensive!
The new Gixxer SF 250 gets 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110-section front and 150-section rear tubeless radial tyres.
While most of the parts are covered in dark paint, the exhaust tip and the heat shield are the only part which gets a chrome treatment.
It might look bulky, but at 161kg, the Gixxer SF 250 is actually 6kg lighter than the Honda CBR250R!
While the Gixxer lineup is known for its flashy paint options, the new Gixxer SF 250 gets subtle shades in the form of black and grey colour options.
To jazz up the styling quotient, Suzuki is also offering accessories such as a tank protector, tank graphics and a smoked visor.
