The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 And NS200 Are Finally Here!
The NS125 has been teased simultaneously, suggesting it’ll get the same headlight and instrument console changes as well
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 are finally here, as both bikes have been launched with price tags of Rs 1,45,792 and Rs 1,57,427 (both ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. For perspective, the older models cost Rs 1,36,736 and Rs 1,49,363 (both ex-showroom Delhi) respectively. This means the updated Pulsar NS160 is about Rs 9,000 more premium than the older bike and the NS200 is about Rs 8,000 more premium than the older model. We have reached out to Bajaj regarding such a massive hike for the Pulsar NS160. We’ll update it here when the manufacturer responds.
What’s new? Well, firstly, the halogen headlight units have now been replaced by LED ones. There are two LED units at the centre with two lightning bolt-shaped LED DRLs on either side. The headlight cowl also has cleaner design lines compared to that of the older bike.
Secondly, the updated Pulsar NS160 and NS200 get an all-new negatively-lit LCD instrument console and come equipped with Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts, phone battery and signal levels and turn-by-turn navigation. The console also displays distance to empty, real-time and average mileage reading along with the regular readouts. The left switchgear has been reworked to accommodate a switch to navigate through the display display. Also, both bikes are available in three colour schemes: Brooklyn Black, Pearl Metallic White, and Racing Red.
Design-wise, both bikes have remained unchanged. The same goes for the mechanical aspects of the bikes as well. As such, the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is powered by the same 160.3cc, single-cylinder engine producing 17.2PS and 14.6Nm and the Pulsar NS200 is powered by the same 199.5cc, single-cylinder engine producing 24.5PS and 18.74Nm. In sum, such a massive premium, especially for the NS160, for what is at the end of the day a new headlight and console is a tough pill to swallow.
