The Aprilia RS440 Teased Officially, Unveil Date Revealed

Modified On Sep 1, 2023 11:51 AM By Irfan for Aprilia RS 457

We finally have what looks like an unveil date after an array of spy shots over the past months

Aprilia has just dropped the very first official teaser for its highly anticipated RS440. It boasts a sharp front end, a muscular midsection, and an incredibly sleek rear, similar to what we've seen in previous spy shots. In fact, the silhouette seems to resemble a downsized Aprilia RS660. Intriguingly, while the teaser doesn't reveal much, the tread pattern on the tires suggests that the RS440 could feature TVS Eurogrip Protorq Extreme tyres. If only they had released a detailed teaser like TVS shared for the upcoming Apache RTR 310, it would have been wonderful!

The Aprilia RS440 could be powered by a 400-440cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Moreover, the RS440 is expected to come loaded with premium features like a TFT console and a suite of advanced electronics like ride-by-wire, traction control, cornering ABS, and maybe even a quickshifter. Aprilia doesn't seem to be cutting corners on the hardware front either, as spy shots have revealed a USD fork and a monoshock paired with an aluminum swingarm.

The teaser hints towards a September 7 date and we think it could be the day of the official unveiling. As for its India launch, it's likely to coincide with the Bharat GP (Indian MotoGP) race between September 22 and 24. Given the premium components and features, we anticipate the RS440 to command a price tag of approximately Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Yes, it may seem steep, but we expect the riding experience to be equally exciting, justifying the price point. For context, the KTM RC 390 is priced at Rs 3,18,173, while the Kawasaki Ninja 400 comes in at Rs 5.19 lakh (all ex-showroom).
