This Bajaj Pulsar 220F Has Some Serious Suzuki Hayabusa Aspirations

The modifications aren’t restricted to cosmetics either, as there are some interesting mechanical changes too

The Suzuki Hayabusa is a legendary name in the two-wheeler world, and holds immense aspirational value for many. And since imitation is the sincerest form of flattery,  New Delhi-based custom shop Bittoo Bike Modification has paid homage to the legendary bike by tastefully modifying a Bajaj Pulsar 220F into the Hayabusa.

Moreover, such is the expertise of the modified bike that to the untrained eye, it could easily pass off as the superbike, with completely new body panels, and the original parts of the bike replaced. It also adopts the iconic graphics from the Hayabusa complemented by the whole body styling. What is most important, though, is that the modified bike looks premium, with good quality fit and finish. At the rear it gets a removable cowl, exposing the seat underneath for pillion riders.

The motorcycle is suspended on a USD fork up front, replacing the conventional telescopic fork, to give the bike a proper stance. It also gets twin Akrapovic exhausts. Additionally, the bike gets dual disc brakes up front, which are functional and it rolls on a 130mm tyre up front (incidentally, 10mm wider than the Hayabusa itself) and a 190mm tyre at the rear.

Powering the bike is the same 220cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine churning out 20.4PS and 18.55Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

This modification kit, including dual discs, a new cluster and USD will cost you Rs 2,20,000. However, these kinds of modifications are also illegal in India and can be heavily fined.
