This Bobber Is A Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 In Disguise
From the extended swingarm to the front-set footpegs, Hardcore Custom has done a meticulous job
Royal Enfield rattled the motorcycle market when it introduced its 650cc parallel-twin motor with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 at cutthroat prices. The bikemaker will spawn more motorcycles from this platform, including a cruiser and perhaps even a bobber. However, it seems like Hardcore Custom couldn’t wait for that to happen.
The Argentinian custom house has left no stone unturned to ensure a perfect transition of the retro roadster into a bobber. For starters, the rear section of the frame has been chopped off. The swingarm has been extended, and the new mounts for the dual rear shocks make for a great bobber stance. In addition to this, the footpegs have been set forward, unlike the slightly rear set pegs of the stock bike.
This custom Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 even gets chopped fenders and 17-inch wire-spoke rims shod with beefy whitewall tyres to complete the bobber look.
Lastly, Hardcore Customs has ditched all the chrome on the stock bike in favour of a matte finish for the engine, custom twin exhausts and headlight unit. The body panels have been finished in a shade of glossy black with the tank receiving a dab of red too. Hardcore Customs has retained the stock handlebar and the console from the Interceptor.
The 648cc air and oil-cooled parallel-twin engine is likely to be unchanged. It produces 47.65PS and 52Nm.
The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 received a substantial revision in pricing earlier this month. Is it still worth the price? Find out in our road test review.
