This Honda CB350 Cafe Racer is an Absolute Showstopper

From a modern classic to a cafe racer, this CB350 is thoughtfully modified

Shawn Lin, a concept artist in the gaming industry, is known for his futuristic designs in the world of fantasy and science fiction. However, his personal motorcycle choice reflects a different aesthetic. Lin rides a Honda CB350 café racer, a bike that has a classic and elegant design rather than the edginess found in his professional work.

Based in Taiwan, where the Honda CB350—( Honda H’ness CB350 in India) makes 21PS and 29.4Nm from its 348.4cc engine.

Lin’s bike is a 2021 model, and maintains much of its original components. Instead of major modifications, Lin opted for subtle and tasteful changes. The bike’s transformation began digitally, with Lin sketching out his ideas before partnering with Capo Moto, a specialist in motorcycle modifications. The shop employed 3D modeling and printing to perfect the design before tackling metalwork.

One of the standout features is the fairing, complete with a headlight bubble and a windscreen. The brackets that attach the fairing are similar to the elements of a samurai armor. Inside the fairing, a custom dashboard holds aftermarket dials and LED indicators. Other modifications include custom clip-ons, a new set of rear-set foot controls, and a redesigned chain guard.

Although the engine and suspension remain untouched for now, Lin added a one-into-two exhaust system, which is similar to the iconic Honda CB750. A combination of chrome finishes and piano black paintwork completes the cafe racer look. 

While the CB350 is quite a good-looking bike in itself, such designs will definitely inspire Indian custom shops to build something of this kind too, for we would love to have it in India.
