Comes with a neatly integrated custom bikini fairing and more

We recently came across this beautifully modified Yamaha R15 V3 cafe racer build called the Cafe 155. The bike comes with a lot of interesting design changes which make it stand apart. Here are the highlights:

The first thing that stands out when looking at the Cafe 155, is the custom bikini fairing with a faceplate. The new fairing takes away the aggressive supersport look that the Yamaha R15 has and gives it a new, and more classic cafe racer look.

The fairing has a distinctive yellow colour, which is quite bright and makes the bike stand out even more when compared to the stock R15, which is only offered in subtler colour schemes. The designer has also added in a 46 on the faceplate, which adds a bit to the bike’s overall sportiness.

The bike gets the same stock clip-on handlebar but with bar end mirrors added. This has ensured that the sporty riding posture that the R15 offers hasn’t been compromised. Another interesting bit is how the bike’s tank, specifically the top middle side, and pillion seat cover have received the same yellow finish.

Coming to the rear, the taillight setup has been completely redesigned and now features a circular taillight that looks quite distinct and resembles the one we have seen on the Yamaha XSR 155. The indicators, tank hugger, and everything else have been removed, giving the rear section a very simple and minimalist look.

Lastly, the bike is also sporting an aftermarket exhaust system. This could likely alter the performance of the bike, maybe make it a bit faster than the stock one. Overall, this custom build looks absolutely stunning and has been able to recreate a proper retro cafe racer look that we have all come to love.

In other news, Yamaha had launched updated colours for the Yamaha R15M and R15 MotoGP edition in Taiwan. The new shades look quite good and we hope they might come to India in the near future. If you are looking to buy a Yamaha bike or scooter then check out the latest prices here.
