Top 5 Highest-selling Bikes In July 2021: Hero Splendor, Honda Shine And More
India’s best-selling 125cc bike raked in even better numbers in July
The sales chart for June 2021 was dominated by commuter motorcycles, and the sales for July were no different. Here’s a closer look at the five highest-selling bikes last month:
Model |
July 2021 Sales |
July 2020 Sales |
Hero Splendor |
2,50,794 |
2,13,413 |
Honda Shine |
1,16,128 |
88,969 |
Hero HF Deluxe |
1,06,304 |
1,54,152 |
Bajaj Pulsar |
65,094 |
73,836 |
Bajaj Platina |
54,606 |
35,103 |
Just like the month before, the Hero Splendor topped the sales chart for July. However, compared to June, its sales have dropped by 5 percent. Sales of the Super Splendor have gone down steadily, dipping by 44 percent this month compared to July 2020, and by around 8,000 units compared to last month.

The story is a lot different for the Honda Shine. Not only did the bike’s sales jump up by 31 percent compared to July 2020, it also did by a respectable 38 percent compared to June 2021. Now, with the Hero Glamour X-Tec hitting showrooms soon, the Honda SP125 and the Shine could face some serious competition.
The Hero HF Deluxe’s sales have been constantly on the decline, and witnessed a massive dip of 31 percent compared to July 2020 and almost 5,000 units when compared to the sales of June 2021.
The Bajaj Pulsar lineup too has seen poor sales this month, with the year-on-year growth of some models going down by as much as 34 percent. Though the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS 125 have been raking in decent numbers, their sales have dropped considerably compared to June. This could be partly due to the bump in their prices in July.
Meanwhile, the Bajaj Platina has not just shown a 23 percent YoY growth but managed to sell 11,293 units more than it did in June. However, we are yet to see it reach pre-COVID levels.
