While Hero and Bajaj retained their rankings, TVS pipped Honda to secure the third position, riding on impressive export numbers. What surprised us was Royal Enfield at number five, ahead of Suzuki. That’s an achievement, considering Royal Enfield products are on the more expensive side compared to Suzuki.
In related news, Hero has announced it will launch its first electric vehicle by March 2022, and we also expect Bajaj to launch the updated Chetak by mid-2022. Honda has also recently launched the CB300R while TVS has introduced the NTorq 125 Spiderman and Thor editions. Meanwhile, Royal Enfield is reportedly working on a 450cc Himalayan expected to arrive by early 2023.
