In January 2022, Honda witnessed a significant hike of 56.24 percent in its overall sales compared to December 2021, and the brand moved up from fourth to second on the sales chart. Meanwhile, the monthly sales of Bajaj and TVS have also increased by a slight margin of 1.46 percent and 7.96 percent respectively. Suzuki stands at fifth position by beating Royal Enfield from the December 2021 sales chart. While most of the bike makers have witnessed growth, Hero Motocorp, despite topping the list, actually registered a decline in its monthly sales by 3.62 percent.
In related news, Hero has opened bookings for the second batch of the XPulse 200 4V, while Bajaj and TVS have recently trademarked the names 'Twinner' and 'Fiero 125' for their upcoming bikes respectively. Honda has slashed the price of the CB500X by a significant margin while Suzuki has introduced new colours with the Access 125 and the Burgman Street 125.
