Tork Motors is set to unveil the Kratos tomorrow

(UPDATE: Tork Motors has launched the Kratos and the Kratos R. Head here to read the launch story.)

Pune-based Tork Motors is ready to debut the Kratos, its first EV offering in India tomorrow.. It’s already been spotted quite a few times now and here’s what we know about the Tork Kratos so far.

Design & Features

Despite being wrapped in camo, the Tork Kratos’ design cues have been quite evident. It looks sporty and youthful. Besides, the Kratos is also loaded with a bunch of nifty features. It gets Tork Intuitive Response Operating System (TIROS) that handles vital operations like power management, real-time power consumption, data compilation on every ride, and range estimation. It also packs 4G connectivity and fast-charging. Additionally, it gets all-LED illumination.

Power Figures

Tork Motors’ first offering was to be called the T6X, and was powered by a 6kW DC axial flux motor, producing 27Nm. Its top speed was limited to 100kmph with a range of 100km. However, in its final production form, the renamed Kratos will house a bigger battery pack offering better range and faster charging.

Underpinnings

The Tork Kratos is built on a revised trellis frame used for the T6X. It’s suspended on a conventional telescopic front fork and a monoshock. It uses disc brakes at both ends with regenerative braking. However, the Kratos’ alloys are oddly similar to that of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.

Expected Price & Bookings

We expect Tork to price the Kratos at around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom), albeit excluding the Fame 2 and related state-wise subsidies. Tork will conduct the launch event online tomorrow and official bookings too will commence soon after on Tork’s websites. The deliveries are said to take a couple of months. Consider it as a rather powerful alternative to the Revolt RV 400
