Triumph Bonneville Bobber Entry Confirmed
The company has applied for the trademark 'Bonneville Bobber', confirming the entry of the model which was spied earlier.
Just after the launch of the 2016 Bonneville range in the global market, spy pictures of some of the 2017 Triumph bikes have surfaced on the internet. One of these pictures was speculated to be of the Bonneville-based Boober and the speculations have now gotten confirmation. The British motorcycle maker has applied for a trademark on the name ‘Bonneville Bobber’, which confirms the existence of the bike in the pipeline.
The upcoming Triumph Bobber will get a new frame with hardtail look, however, it will get a hidden suspension for the rear. The bike will look much different from the other motorcycles in the Bonneville range but will sport one of the parallel-twin motors which is powering the current Triumph Modern Classic range. The spied motorcycle was featuring the 1200cc motor of the T120 model, however, we can't rule out the fact that company could launch it with the Street Twin's 900cc engine as well.
There are normal telescopic forks on the test mule of the upcoming Bonneville Bobber, with lesser travel as compared to its siblings. It will be a pure single-seater motorcycle, providing an upright riding posture. The bike's test mule also features interesting bar-end mirrors which will complement the overall design of the bike. There are single disc brakes on both the front and rear spoke wheels and the dual side exhaust mufflers are also looking new. Reports suggest that Triumph could unveil the new Bonneville Bobber before the end of this year.
