With the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 set to launch soon, Triumph’s offer couldn't have come at a better time.

Quick Highlights

Limited-period discount of Rs 10,000 announced for Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X

Over 50,000 units of the Triumph 400cc bikes sold across 50 countries

Mouth-watering offer poses a threat to the upcoming RE Guerrilla 450

Triumph Motorcycles and Bajaj Auto are celebrating the anniversary of their first made-in-India Triumph 400cc bikes by offering a tempting discount of Rs 10,000 on the Triumph Speed 400 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. With the discount, the Speed 400 will be offered at Rs 2.24 lakh and the Scrambler 400 X at Rs 2.54 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi) which is close to the launch price of the bike. The discount offer is valid till July 31, 2024.

Triumph Motorcycles has sold over 50,000 units of the Triumph 400cc bikes across 50 countries including, USA, UK, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Taiwan and South Korea within one year of its launch. In India, Bajaj has scaled up the number of Triumph dealerships from just 15 to a solid 90 across 70 cities in the country. Apart from the attractive price point, these dealerships must have played an important role in the sales of the bikes in different cities and states.

The Speed 400 is powered by a 398.15cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired to a 6-speed gearbox, producing 40PS at 8000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6500rpm. The bike comes packed with a slip-and-assist clutch, ride-by-wire throttle and dual-channel ABS.

While the Scrambler 400 X is powered by the same engine, it gets a few tweaks to be a true scrambler, such as a long-travel suspension setup and a larger 19-inch front wheel. The bike also gets front switchable ABS, traction control and ride-by-wire throttle.

The offer announced by Triumph Motorcycles conveniently coincides with the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450’s launch, which is set to take place on July 17. This could make it a challenge for Royal Enfield’s upcoming bike. With the offered discount, the 400cc bikes become a more compelling purchase and an incredible value-for-money proposition.
