A closer look at what the extra Rs 10,000 will get you
The TVS has given the Apache RTR 180 a much-needed update by launching the 2022 model. Here’s a closer look at what differentiates the new from the older model:
The highlight of the 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 are the updated features. It now features three riding modes: Rain, Urban and Sport, with different throttle responses and ABS calibration.
TVS has upgraded the engine of the new Apache RTR 180 to extract more power. The bike now makes 17.04PS and 15.05Nm, which is 0.23PS more but 0.45Nm less than the predecessor. However, the bike is now 1kg lighter than before.
The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 now features an all-digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and features including turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts. This is a big change from the semi-digital instrument console on the older model.
The new Apache RTR 180 gets an updated LED headlight and tail light, replacing the halogen units from the previous model. Other subtle changes to the design include an updated headlight cowl and tank extensions. TVS has also given the new Apache RTR 180 a new fatter 120 section rear tyre with a different TVS Remora compound.
The TVS Apache RTR 180 now costs Rs 1,30,590 (ex-showroom Delhi) which is Rs 9,900 more than the previous model.
