TVS Apache RTR 180 Race Edition Launched At Rs 83,233
The Race Edition gets a white paint job and front and rear disc brakes as standard
TVS has launched the Apache RTR 180 Race Edition in India at a price of Rs 83,333 (ex-showroom). Apart from a few cosmetic changes and some added features, the bike remains the same as before.
The Apache RTR 180 is the third bike in TVS’ lineup to receive the race themed treatment. It sports a white paint scheme with red and grey graphics from the nose to the tail. There’s a new 3D TVS logo on the fuel tank and rim stickering on the alloy wheels as well. Features include a blue backlit instrument console with 0-60kmph timer, lap timer and service indicator.
It draws power from a 177.4cc, single cylinder engine which produces 16.62PS at 8500 rpm and 15.5Nm of torque of 6500 rpm. It’s mated to a 5-speed gear box. The Apache RTR 180 Race Edition is based on a double cradle frame and gets conventional telescopic forks at the front and a gas charged monoshock at the rear. Anchoring the bike is a single 270mm petal disc at the front and a 200mm rear disc. However, the bike misses out on despite being a race-spec edition.
While the RTR 180 just receives a cosmetic update for now, we might soon see it being pampered with the 4V treatment, like the RTR 200 and RTR 160. The TVS Apache RTR 180 Race Edition competes with only one bike in its segment, the Bajaj Pulsar 180.
