TVS Apache RTR 200 4V vs Bajaj Pulsar NS200 vs Honda Hornet 2.0: Real World Mileage Test
Which sporty naked commuter is the easiest on the pocket?
With petrol prices off the roof in our country, one can’t help but ask the evergreen question kitna deti hai? This question makes even more sense for motorcycles in the 200cc sporty commuter segment, which can take on the ghats occasionally while also being suitable for daily errand runs. The three leading motorcycles in this category are the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and Honda’s Hornet 2.0. Since we’ve tested all of them in the real world and recently did a comparison between these three too, here’s a compilation of how their fuel-efficiency figures stack up:

Honda Hornet 2.0 |

As you can see, the oldest motorcycle in the lot, the Pulsar NS200, is also the least fuel-efficient offering here. More so, with barely any updates for BS6, it struggles to justify its price tag. That said, the NS200 did impress us in some other aspects which you can read about in our review.
2021 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V: Pros, Cons And Should You Buy It? Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Just Made A World RecordMeanwhile, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is probably the most bang-for-buck offering here with an extensive equipment list, including several first-in-class features. Its fuel efficiency figures are quite impressive and we think it could’ve gotten even better if we had switched to the ‘Urban’ ride mode. During our test, we came across many other impressive aspects of the RTR which you can check out in our review.
Coming to the oddball, it isn’t really a surprise that the least powerful and the smallest motorcycle here, the Hornet 2.0, is also the most economical. While its pricing isn’t bang-on, its riding dynamics, features, and motor make it a pleasing and versatile offering. How do we know? Read our review to find out.
Lastly, all these motorcycles get a 12-litre fuel tank so the Hornet 2.0 should go the longest distance without a fuel stop.
