TVS Fiero 125 Trademark Accepted
This new bike could be an retro alternative to the Raider
Over a year after we broke the news that the Hosur-based bikemaker has plans of reviving the ‘Fiero’ moniker, the trademark for TVS Fiero 125 has been accepted. The new Fiero 125 could be a retro-styled alternative to the TVS Raider.
While not much can be said about the bike’s design or mechanicals at this point, expect the new Fiero to be a modern-day rendition of the older model. So, we might see an LED headlight, perhaps even DRLs, combined with retro styling.

The TVS Fiero 125 could get the same 124.8cc engine from the Raider that produces 11.38PS and 11.2Nm. Its 5-speed gearbox will be carried over too.
In terms of underpinnings, expect the same suspension and braking setup as the Raider. So, expect the new Fiero 125 to have telescopic fork and monoshock setup, and braking duties to be handled by a disc up front and drum at the rear.
With the upcoming Fiero 125, TVS will be able to capitalise on the moniker by offering a well-rounded package with a smaller engine to ensure frugality. The new Fiero will step into the competitive 125cc commuter segment and will go up against the likes of the Hero Glamour, Bajaj Pulsar 125 Neon and the Honda Shine.
