The TVS Raider 125 has won the 2022 Indian Motorcycle Of The Year (IMOTY) title. The sporty 125cc offering from TVS Motors qualified among five other contenders that included the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Yamaha FZ-X, Honda CB200X, Bajaj Pulsar F250 and Bajaj Pulsar N250.

All the finalists were judged based on a variety of factors such as price, fuel efficiency, styling, practicality, comfort, safety, performance, technological innovation, build quality, value-for-money quotient and their suitability for Indian roads.

The TVS Raider winning the 2022 IMOTY title doesn’t really come as a surprise to us as it was among our favourite bikes tested and ridden last year. One of the key factors for the TVS 125cc bike winning this award is that it has set new benchmarks in the 125cc space with respect to features such as a start/stop system, ride modes, and a fully digital console with details such as gear position indicator and gear shift indicator. You can read our first ride report here.

The IMOTY award has been sponsored by JK Tyre & Industries Limited since its inception, and this year's event was held at the Buddh International Circuit, Noida. The 2022 Indian Motorcycle Of The Year Award was received by Aniruddha Haldar (Senior Vice President of Marketing, TVS Motors) for the TVS Raider 125.
