TVS Raider: Which Is The Right Variant For You?
Confused between the 125cc sporty commuter’s variants and what they offer? We help you take the right call
TVS recently updated its Raider lineup, with an entry-level single-seat variant. But what else is there which differentiates the variants that TVS’ sporty commuter is available in? Let’s find out:
Single Seat:
As mentioned, this is the entry-level variant; yet it gets a 240mm front disc with combined braking system – or Synchro Braking Technology (SBT) in TVS’ parlance – as standard. Moreover, it also gets a negatively lit colour LCD console and two riding modes (eco and power), both of which are segment-first features. The entry-level single seat variant of the Raider is available in only one (Striking Red) colour scheme, and retails for Rs 93,719 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Split Seat:
Save for the split seat (as the name suggests), the mid-spec Raider is almost identical in terms of mechanicals and features, as the single-seat variant. That said, the pillion seat, at a glance, seems a bit higher than that on the single-seat variant. It gets three additional colour schemes: Fiery Yellow, Blazing Blue, Wicked Black, joining the Striking Red colour. The mid-level variant retails for Rs 94,719 (ex-showroom Delhi).
SX:
The top-spec variant stays mechanically and visually identical to the Split Seat variant. The distinction here, though, is TVS’ SmartXonnect (hence the SX name) smartphone compatibility suite. On offer, then, are call and message alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. Moreover, you can also avail post-ride stats, real-time location, top speed and average speed tracker, and voice assist via the dedicated app to remotely access all these features. The top-spec Raider is available in two colours: Fiery Yellow, and Wicked Black, and retails for Rs 1,00,820 (ex-showroom Delhi).
