We got a taste of India’s highly awaited electric motorcycle in 2019, however, Ultraviolette took its sweet time testing and improving the product over the course of the next three years. And in this period, the company has made some serious improvements, including plonking in a big (for an electric motorcycle) 10.5kWh lithium-ion battery – the biggest on any two-wheeled EV sold in India.
The Ultraviolette F77 has a claimed range of 307km (Indian Driving Cycle) in its top trim and it is unclear whether the company has made any changes to the motor. The previous iteration made 25kW and 90Nm and could hit a claimed top speed of 147kmph. With all the changes, the kerb weight of the bike now has gone up to 190kg.
