The F77 Mach 2 gets a bunch of upgrades and features, and an interesting price tag

Ultraviolette Automotive has launched the Mach 2 version of its electric motorcycle – F77. With an introductory price tag of Rs 2,99,999 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), the F77 Mach 2 is Rs 1 lakh more affordable than the older model. But that is not the only difference, let’s dive deeper into the differences.

Colours

The older F77 came in three shades – Supersonic Silver, Stealth Grey and Plasma Red. The new Mach 2 gets 3 different personalities and 9 colour options to choose from. The Laser variant comes in Plasma Red, Afterburner Yellow and Turbo Red colours. The Shadow variant gets Stealth Grey, Asteroid Grey and Cosmic Black shades. Lastly, the Airstrike variant comes dipped in Supersonic Silver, Stellar White and Lightning Blue shades. All these colours look stunning, sporty and unlike any other petrol or electric vehicles on road.

Battery & Motor

In the F77 Mach 2, the battery pack remains to be the same 7.1kWh unit, however, the range has slightly increased.

With no change in the battery, the charging times have remained the same as well, however, now there is one more faster charging option, that is even faster than the Boost charging mode.

Even the permanent magnet AC motor remains the same at 27kW peak power, but it makes 5Nm more than before clocking at 90Nm. This has made a major difference in the top speed and acceleration times of the electric motorcycle.

Features

Both, the old and new F77 get 3 levels of regenerative braking, and the Mach2 comes with the option to upgrade to 10 levels of regen. This means that the F77 Mach 2 will be able to reduce speeds faster without the need to apply brakes.

The F77 Mach 2 also gets 4 levels of traction control as optional and Dynamic Stability Control as standard. All these features make the F77 a much safer electric bike.

Now onto the essential features for an electric motorcycle, the F77 Mach 2 comes packed with a charge limit, park assist, find my F77 and Deep sleep/vacation mode as standard. There are also some features like Violette AI, geofencing/delta watch, lockdown, crash alerts and ride analytics that you can get as add-ons.

Apart from the above-mentioned features, the F77 Mach 2 will also be getting a hill hold assist, Tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), display themes, onboard navigation and more in the near future.

Verdict

To sum up, the F77 with the Mach 2 update has gotten a lot safer, more powerful, faster and feature-packed. In addition to that, with a more affordable price tag than the previous model, the F77 Mach 2 is also a more wholesome and accessible sporty electric offering in the Indian market.
